As part of the University of Florida’s prestigious Florida Gators Athletic Department, I’ve had the opportunity to provide physical therapy services and return-to-play guidance for one of the top NCAA Division I programs in the country. The Gators support 21 varsity sports—including 9 men's and 12 women's teams—across a diverse range of disciplines such as football, basketball, baseball, gymnastics, swimming & diving, soccer, softball, and track & field.
While I’ve treated athletes across all sports, my clinical expertise lies in lower extremity injuries, with a strong focus on the foot and ankle. I have developed and now lead the foot orthotic program for Florida Gator Athletics, where I serve as the sole clinician responsible for the assessment and fitting of custom foot orthoses for all teams. This role has allowed me to directly impact athlete performance and injury prevention through biomechanically sound, individualized orthotic solutions.
My work integrates seamlessly with the interdisciplinary sports medicine team, collaborating with athletic trainers, performance coaches, nutritionists, physicians, chiropractors, massage therapists, and coaches. Together, we create athlete-centered care plans that support both short-term recovery and long-term resilience.
Additionally, I have conducted preseason and postseason movement and performance testing to identify risk factors, establish baselines, and tailor interventions aimed at reducing injury potential while enhancing athletic output.
My time with the Gators has deepened my commitment to advancing performance through precise, evidence-informed care—particularly when it comes to the complex demands placed on the foot and ankle in high-level sport.
