Manager of Operations - UF Health Department of Outpatient Rehabilitation
2018 - Present
As Manager of Operations for the UF Health Department of Outpatient Rehabilitation, I combine my background as a practicing clinician with advanced training in healthcare administration through an MBA to guide the strategic, financial, and clinical operations of one of the largest and most diverse rehab networks in the region.
I provide financial and clinical oversight of 14 outpatient clinics, managing over $65 million in annual top-line revenue and leading a team of more than 165 clinical FTEs, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, athletic trainers, massage therapists, registered nurses, and physiologists. My dual perspective—as both a clinician and healthcare executive—allows me to make well-informed decisions that balance operational efficiency with clinical excellence.
Drawing from my years of patient care experience, I maintain a deep understanding of frontline challenges and patient needs, which enhances my ability to advocate for clinicians, support quality initiatives, and develop service lines that reflect best practices in evidence-based care.
Our outpatient department delivers comprehensive rehabilitation services, spanning orthopedics, neurology, pediatrics, sports medicine, hand and upper extremity therapy, cardiopulmonary rehab, and more. I have been instrumental in leading the growth and integration of these programs to serve a broader and more complex patient population while ensuring optimal patient outcomes and operational sustainability.
In addition, I direct UF Health’s sports and orthopedic physical therapy residency programs, investing in the professional development of emerging clinicians through mentorship, advanced education, and clinical specialization.
My role also includes project management and high-level coordination with hospital administration, legal, HR, IT, and facilities, ensuring that outpatient rehabilitation aligns with broader health system goals. These cross-functional partnerships have been critical in executing major initiatives, infrastructure upgrades, and service line expansions.
